Does CA UI have an on-line FAQ... In some cases it is automatic, but you may want to see if you indeed have to do an on-line submission to activate. I would not allow it to lapse without checking.

The extension is there too help people because the Federal Government recognizes there is a need. Because of how its set up or lack of being set up correctly you have to apply for the extension (and not all people get them). Also, when completing your claims while on the extension you usually have to do it by fax or mail and cannot use the web or phone based systems.

extension benifits when you are down to your last two weeks. you will get a notice if you are eligible for an extension and you MUST go to a Michigan works office and udate your resume and let them know you are down to you last two weeks this will get the process moving,no excetpions to this
