Something I noticed in the trades section To the people complaining about payscale. Did you know that your great grandparents, or great great grandparents probably came here and worked for something far less. But do you know the difference? They appreciated the opportunity to be employed in this country. There was no sense of entitlement like you guys are showing here. It’s disgusting, its why there are illegal’s still getting jobs. Yes, the economy is down, but these guys have work. Do you realize that they aren’t getting what they were getting 5 years ago? Everyone is taking pay cuts, even business owners. You aren’t the only ones, business owners have to and it’s even getting worse. But to come here and complain that this guy isn’t paying this, or isn’t paying that, just look in the mirror, that reflection is what is wrong with this country. You are not entitled to a job, you are not entitled to anything. You can work, and you can get paid. Yes times right now are the worse it’s been in a long time, you have to buckle through it. Let me tell you this.. you have an opportunity to work, so it’s a little low in the payscale. But guess what, you keep your mind sharp, you keep in practice, and you get out of the house. Is staying home listening to the old lady bitch better than making 500-600+ a week? I don’t think so, and if I didn’t have a job, I’d shovel shit to make a check. Something that is obviously lost on you guys. Remember, opportunity is there, don’t let it go by. Works hard to come by, take what you can get and be happy to be making a paycheck. Get off your asses and take some of these jobs, you’ll have money to reinvest in the economy. It’s a cycle and we are all part of it. Staying home and crying is not making you money, or making the country better, it’s showing that you have given up. Remember……Americans don’t give up.

Excellent points but... some employers are going beyond tightening the belts. With 5 yrs exp, one company I worked for offered less than half of what I was making when I lost my job. Even when my "probationary" period would be over I would be making less than an entry-level candidate 5 years ago. This is while they claimed to be the fastest growing company in their industry, had a couple new major accounts and had already reduced costs by offshoring their tier 1 centers.
